Things are moving right along for Kathy and I in the reunion planning, and we are very excited. We're conviced it's going to be the best reunion yet!
Some people have asked why we are having our 30 year reunion in September of this year instead of next summer. Well...September 2010, will be 30 years since our Senior Homecoming, and many people have expressed to us their desire to bring their kids back to Odessa to experience MOJO first hand. We're hoping by having the reunion on Homecoming weekend, we can allow a lot of people to do that. After all, everyone should experience MOJO live and in person at least once. 
Anyway, here's how it's shaping up.
Permian Class of 1981 30 year Reunion
September 17 & 18th, 2010
Schedule of events:
Friday morning: Pep rally and a tour of the school for those interested.
Friday afternoon: *Tail-gate* party. Since we couldn't have a catered pep rally on school property (because of the Lions Club contract to serve food) we are having our pre-game party across the street from Ratliff Stadium at Ratliff Ranch. There's a nice pavillion where we can party, and a great little grill that will serve us food (BBQ), Sid & Sam's. Kathy and I had lunch there recently and the food was really good! Additionally, for those who don't want to attend the game, we'll have an informal get together at Sid & Sam's bar after the game. You can even park there and walk to the stadium, if you so desire.
Friday night: What else? Friday night lights…homecoming…good times…old friends…and memories to last a lifetime (I'm cheesy, I know!)
Saturday night: We'll have another informal get-together, again at Sid & Sam's. There will be finger-foods to eat and we're hoping to have some live music. If that doesn't pan out, we'll have a DJ. More details on that coming soon.

At this time, I have 50 rooms reserved, 1/2 King, 1/2 Doubles. This can increase if we need it to. Your reservation MUST be reserved by September 2, 2010. Our room rate is $89. I've reserved rooms for the 16th also, for those who are coming in early to attend the Pep Rally on Friday morning.

I've had lots of people questioning why their senior photo is not yet on their profile and I just haven't had time. It is a very time-consuming process scanning, then editing, every picture in our senior yearbook. Fortuntately, I had a volunteer (Gwen Larkin Bertholf - thanks Gwen!) and she scanned all the photos from your year book. Now,I just have to crop them and uploaded them. Still a time-consuming process, but I'm doing it in my spare time.
