Jana Wooton (McDonald)

James Gregory McDonald and Jana Lou McDonald, left this life for eternity with their creator Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

Gregg was born June 15, 1963 to James Pete and Ann McDonald; Jana was born April 30, 1963 to Monte and Betty Wootton.

Gregg worked as Odessa Market President of Security Bank, dedicating 30 years of his life to a career as a banker in the Ector County community. Jana gave her all to her home, her husband, and her children as a stay at home mother.

Gregg upheld the makings of what it meant to be an integrous man whose character was unparalleled. His kind spirit calmed all those he come in contact with, and his lighthearted perspective on life uplifted even the darkest of moments. Gregg devoted his life to his marriage and his family, a commitment that far exceeds any of his earthly accolades.

Jana's steadfast commitments went far beyond her home. As a voice of solidarity for many hurting and confused women, Jana worked as an advocate for saving the lives of children through adoption. Her unwavering relationship with Jesus brought hope to the darkest, deepest, most devastatingly painful situations in many, many people. While her time on this earth may have been abbreviated, her impact is everlasting.

The couple, who was to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this May, wholeheartedly dedicated their lives to the Lord, their children, and loving their family and friends with a love which none in this world could compare. Representing a steadfast foundation for the sanctity of love, marriage, and family, Gregg and Jana tirelessly poured their lives into those of others.

The couple is preceded in their deaths by James Pete McDonald, Gregg's father.

The couple is survived by their daughter, Elizabeth Grace McDonald and their son, James Gabriel McDonald. Extended survivors include their parents Ann McDonald and Monte and Betty Wootton; siblings, Karen Hargrove, Gary McDonald, and Matthew McDonald.

What a beautiful testamony of lives that showcased love and faith. May God wrap His arms around their family as they continue to wrestle with this tragedy and hold them in His love, grace and compassion.
