I met Kelly when I moved to Odessa in sixth grade. She was my best friend all through Bonham Junior High and Permian. We remained close even after high school. She was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 36 years old. She fought a hard fight but eventually lost the battle when she was 42 years old. Kelly was dedicated to her husband Rob and her two boys. She also loved teaching and taught in Odessa as well as North Carolina. I miss her very much and think about her all the time.
