Caleista was born on May 17, 1963 in Brownfield, TX, to Bill and Ronda Lyne. After graduating from Permian High School, she enrolled in Cosmetology classes at Odessa College. With her contagious personality and love of everyone, she found herself in a perfect place. She later discovered another passion of doing skin care and she opened up her dream salon, Caleista Hair, Nail and Skin. Caleista wanted to make everyone more beautiful with her products and treatments. She and her mom, Ronda attended all the hair show conventions from Dallas to Las Vegas, bringing all the latest techniques to her shop.
Caleista married the love of her life, James Millican on September 3, 1994. They were soul mates and blessed with a fairy tale marriage. She had an unlimited ability to listen, nurture and never faltered in her love for her family. Her greatest passion was shopping, any and everywhere, going on monthly trips to the market in Dallas. Movies and eating out while traveling were high on her list. Her greatest love was being around people. She never met a stranger and was quick to invite them to visit her beloved salon for beauty treatments. She also enjoyed working on needlepoint and giving many away as gifts.
Caleista is preceded in death by her grandparents, Laverne and Gaines Murchison and Caleista and Raymond Lyne.
She is survived by her husband, James Millican; mother, Ronda Lyne; father, Bill Lyne of Santa Fe, NM; brother, John Lyne; mother and father in law, Betty and James Millican; Tami and Tom Lahey of Denver, CO; nieces, Erica and Holly Lyne and great nieces, Melanie, Daisy and Alexis.
We owe a special appreciation to her family of co-workers at Caleista's salon, who helped so much with their love and support. Thank you to Becky, Carlos, Keri, Aspen, Rosalee, Francene, Sylvia, Marcy, Erica, Aurora, Lindsay and Lisa. We could not do without Maria and numerous friends who loved and showed their compassion.

A diet coke and a update on all our class mates is what Calista offered, she was concerned for all and kept up with the progress of those like Kent Sager that also had cancer. She is a gem and heaven has a special angel amongst them.
